I had never been there, so decided to take advantage of the opportunity for a little walk. A little walk? Yes... Easy for someone out of shape.... Not so much. |
This is looking south if you look closely to the left of the Capitol building you can see the Salt Lake Temple and the Tabernacle. |
Looking to the west, you see a part of the Great Salt Lake and what I believe is Antelope Island. If it isn't, please let me know what it is. |
To the east are the majestic mountains and "the greatest snow on earth". Salt Lake is one of the few cities with mountains so close. I love it and loved the afternoon. |
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I would like to visit Salt Lake City someday.
ReplyDeleteThose Mountains are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe should all meet there and go play!! There is incredible camping/hiking etc. all over Utah!
ReplyDeleteI love SLC!!! I have a membership to East Canyon Resort. We need to go there and have a blast. It's not far from the ski resort as well as SLC. It's beautiful and I love it! There's a town not too far from there going east that's call Echo. An enormous amount of history attached to such a small town...and precious people!
ReplyDeleteMeledie, you're on! Let's do it!! We could meet Glenda & family & Carmen & family. You'd love them!!
