Hot Flashes...No More.......

There are many introductions I am extremely grateful for. Each for a different reason.

• I'm grateful my cousin introduced me to Pralines and Cream Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins.
• I'm grateful for the individuals that introduced my wonderful husband and I.

But.....

• Right now I'm extremely grateful to my dear friend Minda who has introduced me to Arbonne Essentials Phyto Relief! What a LIFESAVER!!

It says that it is a light, greaseless, botanically based cream that's conveniently packaged with an easy, pre-metered pump.

All I know is that when I use it, I DON'T HAVE HOT FLASHES!! If I forget for a couple of days the hot flashes are back. Laurence is grateful to Minda as well. I no longer throw all the covers on him and then take all of mine and his as well back later.

I told Minda about my misery and she immediately send me two bottles of the cream. What a sweetheart!! I told her I'm in love all over again! I'm not sure which I love more, her for sharing it or the cream for doing it's job!

Laurence has two favorite breakfasts. This is one of them.

Pancakes -- Check

Butter -- Check

Syrup -- Check

Chili -- WHAT??

Yep, that's his fav!

I have often wondered if he learned that at home growing up or if he acquired it after leaving home???

Driving by the lake today,

I was amazed at what I saw.

Do people actually LIKE to ice fish?

Is this actually someone's idea of fun?

Certainly not mine...

My idea of fun would be a beach somewhere,

laying in the sun, under an umbrella

listening to the water.

Oh, and don't forget the good book!

The people at the lake probably think that would be boring.

Will winter ever end?

I was raised by parents that are very patriotic! I was taught to love this dear land we live in!!

Many of you know that I keep a blog up for a friend of mine because she is teaching school for a year in Xi'an China. She loves it there and has had incredible experiences. I have enjoyed living vicariously through her. (http://karenskeyboard.blogspot.com)

One thing I know it has done for me is to make me even more grateful for the land I live in.

Do we have problems here? YES!!

Would I want to go someplace else to live permanently?

NO WAY!!

 I am so grateful for all of the men and women and their families for all their sacrifices.

I have the right to waste my entire day on blogger and facebook if I want...... Thank You!!

WHO KNEW?

This is the park across the street from our home.

Today was a fun day for me. I think I am actually growing up!

I used to substitute teach in our district regularly several years ago. My classes toed the line.
No messing around in my classes. They would do their work, they would be quiet, they would only leave the classroom after being grilled by me.......

Today I spent time at our high school.
I was in the math class. They did their work; there was talking. They left the classroom; after getting a nod from me. The talking couldn't be heard down the hall (not far at least), they read books or played games after their work was done. Everyone finished their work.

AND---
I came home in a pleasant mood, and without a headache...

WELCOME 2011!

Today was a beautiful day! It is the first day of 2011, and and the sun was reflecting off the snow. I didn't capture the suns reflections, but I did like this little picture with the grass.

I am beginning a blogging challenge. In this challenge we are to blog daily for 30 days. I am hoping to do this on both of my blogs. This and Queen Bee Gardens. Since I do both of them completely on my own time I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. Hopefully working with the group; I'll be able to gain insights as to how to more effectively manage a blog.

I would appreciate any ideas and suggestions you may have.

As I took the garbage out this morning I was really astonished by just how CoLd it was! I cam back in and checked, -17. No wonder!

I have many goals for this year, but am truly trying to focus on just a couple. I know from experience that for me the longer the list, the shorter the time I do them.

• I would like to be a millionaire, but that doesn't seem to be in my crystal ball. So, we are going to try to sell our land in Lovell to pay off all my bills.

• I'd like to be 7 feet tall, then I'd be at the appropriate weight for my height, but I'd hate being so much taller than my sweetie. So, I begin the Colstrip Parks and Recreation Dept. meltdown starting Monday. CPRD is free for all residents and they have awesome workout facilities. With the meltdown, they make you accountable because you have to go weigh in weekly and track your exercise and eating habits. Laurence and I did it last year. I lost 34 pounds last year, and gained 10 back. I'd like to lose that many this year.... but it's okay if I don't gain 10 back...

• The other major goal I have is to dejunk this house. We will be retiring in the next year or so and I don't want to have to face dejunking then. To many that may not seem like a big deal, but to me it is major. I seem to just move piles around with little or no progress.

You are probably wondering why I don't have any spiritual goals listed... that's because my spiritual goals are always ongoing.

Another thing I noticed this morning was not nearly as delightful as the sun on the snow..... ready? NO? Neither was I.... I have huge bowling balls above my eyes. Sheesh, I now know why people get plastic surgery. Do you realize that just getting those "little" bowling balls of sagging skin removed or tightened or whatever they do costs about $5,000. That sure wouldn't do much for goal #1. It says if it becomes such that it impairs your vision the insurance will cover it.... talk about not being "sick" enough.

Have I told you how lucky I am? I have wonderful friends and an awesome sweetie and daughter!! Thanks everyone for being in my life!!
