The Early Bird Gets the Worm??

Perhaps the early bird doesn't get the worm,
In this case, this early bird definitely gets the gorgeous view!
We took an early-morning drive out to Lawrencetown Beach.
We went by Porters Lake on the way.
Birds love Porter's Lake as well!
Sunrises at the beach are so beautiful!
Definitely worth losing sleep for.
Lawrencetown Beach is a gorgeous beach and it's not far from home.
The beach was so peaceful and gorgeous!
What a fun morning we had at Lawrencetown Beach!!
Love the birdlife!
We love serving here!
We pray that we always serve with LOVE!

HIDDEN TREASURES!!!

~ HIDDEN TREASURES ~

We had the opportunity one evening to go listen to the band Hidden Treasures.
They were playing at a independent living care center; and they truly were Hidden Treasures
We went with Sister Nelson. She is the greatest!!
The people there really love listening and dancing to their music.
The band consists of Lloyd Hart, Roy Fox, Darrell Nelson, Dean Smith and Dale Smith.
They have been performing together for over 20 years.
What a fun, great evening and band!!
Lloyd is a member of our ward, Roy is our temple president,
Darrell (in the back on the drums) is the 2nd counselor in the temple presidency,
Dean Smith and his brother Dale Smith. Dale is in the Dartmouth ward.
The people here loved dancing to the music.
The bald man is 98 years old.
What a flirt!! <haha>
We are definitely doing something we've never done,
and getting so many blessings we've never had!!
We love the Lord and love serving in His House!!

Home Teaching in Port Dufferin

Hunting Sea Glass in Port Dufferin

September 22, 2015
We headed up to Port Dufferin to Home Teach our friend Gloria.
Gloria told us we could find sea glass on her beach, so
we took our friend Trudy with us.
Gloria didn't feel well, so we didn't get any pictures of her.
Unfortunately I also didn't get any pictures of her son, who helped us get started.

Next Stop.... Taylor's Head

We didn't have much time, so we just stopped here, explored for a few minutes and hit the road again.
We had to get home in time to get our duties taken care of for the following day at the temple

The beach at Taylor's Head was gorgeous.
The sand was so soft and fine.
I couldn't believe how deep we would sink as we walked along the beach.
There is a beautiful picnic area at Taylor's Head.
I hope one day to be able to go and use it.

The rocks and ocean are beautiful there!
As is Trudy!!

Conrad Beach ~ September 29, 2015

We went with the Linford's and the Lamoreaux's to Conrad Beach one day after working in the temple.
Although we'd driven to this beach with President and Sister Nelson, we'd never actually been on the beach.
It is a beautiful beach with lots of shells, sands, birds etc.
The little peninsula juts out from the coast between Conrad and Stoney Beach.
I love the seashells and barnacles you find attached to the rocks, wood etc.
Nova Scotia is just about as close to the Garden of Eden as you will find.
There are many safe harbours in Nova Scotia.
The Holy Temple is the safest harbour of all!

Work Hard! Play Hard!!

Martinique Beach

I'm a firm believer in, "work hard, play hard"!
On a Wednesday afternoon after we finished at the temple we drove to Martinique Beach.
Love this beach! It's beautiful, has miles of beaches, lots of shells etc.
Who could ask for anything more??
It was a beautiful day!
We enjoyed the sunshine, the surf, the ocean life.....
And..... I got a few pieces of sea glass.
I love sea glass! It's fun to find and doesn't take much room.

Fun with the Hampson's

On the 17th we got to go over to the Hampson's and help them out with a little project.
When we finished we went to Gazoo's for wonderfully amazing Fish 'n Chips!
Left to right: Elder & Sister Linford, Elder Pitt Brother & Sister Hampson
I'm glad we didn't wait any longer to go.
September 27th was their last day of the season.
You can hardly read it, but the sign says 11ish -- 8ish.
On the way back to Dartmouth, we were treated to the sight of many wind surfers at Stoney Beach.
Some were doing acrobatics, most were just sailing along!
We are so grateful for all that shines around us daily!
We are grateful to have a mission where we can serve the Lord and also enjoy the many beauties of His earth!
We love the opportunities we have to serve Him in His Holy Temple!
It is a privilege that we are blessed to have!
